Family/Double Room

double room Double 2

The soft pinks and purples of the heather on the mountains and glens were the inspiration for the Double/Family Room. The double bed has recently been changed and has a memory foam mattress to add to your comfort. The full sized daybed increases the versatility of the room and also benefits from an electric blanket. A travel cot is available for the ‘wee bairns’.

The whirlpool bath and separate shower are a bonus after your day walking or travelling.

Enjoy those ‘little extras’ found in the room, bathrobes, slippers, complimentary toiletries, full fair-trade hospitality tray, pillow spray, choccies and fresh flowers. Not forgetting the essentials, hairdryer and tv/dvd player (with satellite receiver).

And of course the luxury Egyptian cotton bed linen and extra thick fluffy towels.

At Drynachan our cosy sitting room is a home from home, where you can sit and relax after a day of sightseeing or on those chilly autumnal and winter evenings enjoy the open fire.

Why not plan the next days adventure over a hot drink (or glass of your wine) and some of Sonia’s homemade shortbread... or just chill out and watch one of the many DVD’s from our collection.

Dining Room

Dining 1 dining 2

Your breakfast will be served in our homely dining room, which is situated in the original 17th century part of the builing, between 8.00 and 9.00 a.m. If you would like an earlier breakfast we are happy to discuss this with you.

We appreciate that after a couple of weeks B and B'ing, a cooked breakfast can become repetitive, so we offer a diverse choice of the regulars with some mouth-watering differences...

A range of traditional evening Scottish meals (see Drynachan Menu) is available but we do require 48 hours notice to prepare a meal to suit your wishes and dietary requirements. Evening meals are usually served at 7.30 p.m. Please speak to us if you would like a slightly earlier time.

We do not have an alcohol license, we are happy for you to supply your own drink and we can chill your white wine or open and let your red wine breathe.

... Oh! and if you are from Oz, yes we can freeze your beer glasses too!

A high chair is available on request.

Porridge

You can peruse our library of books from the history and geography of Scotland, to children’s books of ‘Nessie’. We also have nearly 300 DVD’s from James Stewart and John Wayne to up to date films, including all the Harry Potter Films! A selection of board games are also ofr your use.

On chilly winter evenings you can sit in front of a roaring log fire and during summer’ evenings enjoy the garden. There is access from the garden directly onto the Great Glen path and across the road is Loch Oich.

For those of you that need to ‘keep in touch’ - Wi-Fi is available.
